Barnard Castle Working Men's Club
Logic was proud to install new boilers at Barnard Castle's Working Men's Club in May 2011. 
The Club offers important service to the community, but its heating equipment was showing its age rather, having been installed about 50 years ago when fuel prices were very much lower, the old system was expensive and inefficient. An improved heating solution with localised control made a lot of sense in this age of higher fuel prices, the old central heating was gobbling up club funds like a monster. To the Club Steward's delight, Logic improved the situation with an intelligent solution. Energy efficiency was achieved by splitting off the plumbing and wiring for the living accommodation from the function room and bar so that they could be run separately. Installing a modern, energy efficient Broag Quinta 65 gas boiler for the function rooms will ensure that the members remain cozy no matter what the winter weather might throw at them. It was also important to ensure that the accommodation area's radiators are heated efficiently. Logic selected a Worcester 30 CDI Greenstar Combination boiler, with its 92.2% class A energy efficiency rating and 30 KW output it was deemed ideal for the specification. It condenses in both heating and hot water modes yielding greater efficiency and fuel savings to the club. Logic's team of four heating engineers and dedicated electrician accomplished the whole installation in just a week and a half, and the Club Steward is now basking in the warm glow of having achieved energy savings of at least 35%!
